When and Where do I receive my Artwork?
You receive your artwork at the following Timeraiser, a year after you begin your pledge. For logistical reasons, even you complete your pledge earlier, distribution of your artwork will not begin until this time. Most participants receive their artwork at the Timeraiser that they attend as alumni, one year after they made their pledge. If your not able to attend this Timeraiser, alternative arrangements for pick up/drop off of artwork will be made.

Can I volunteer with agencies not represented at the Timeraiser?
We are not the volunteer police. You are able to volunteer wherever you can find some meaningful opportunities. We do ask however that you aim to volunteer at least 50% of your time with agencies associated with Timeraiser.

What can I track as volunteer time?

What count as as hours towards your pledge is on the honour system. Use your gut to determine if our experience would hold up to the 'it is charitable in nature' test. If you can tell a friend or family member and they don't grimace, it counts. However here are a some examples you might not be aware of:
  • Interviews with agencies
  • Research and building your plan (including the workshop)
  • Time for traveling
  • Creating your story (maximum 1 hour)
  • Back and forth contact with Timeraiser staff (accumulate by month when tracking these hours)
Where can I find out about upcoming opportunities?
Two prominent choices for many Timeraiser participants include:
1) Monthly communications  sent out to all timeraiser participants in the form of a newsletter
2) The "activities' section on the Civic Footprint website
Both sources provide updated information on volunteering, participating and donating opportunities in your area. Volunteer centres (i.e. Volunteer Toronto) and United Way's website are also fantastic resources for anyone looking to get involved.

Can I submit/promote events or volunteer opportunities? Where?
Yes you can. At Civicfootprint.ca under the 'contribute' tab. Please be as informative as possible.

Do I have to volunteer with Agencies I selected the night of the Timeraiser?
No, the agencies you shortlisted are for your own reference, you may volunteer with any of the timeraiser agency present or other reputable charities.

Can I volunteer at more than one agency?

Yes, and in fact you will probably have to. While many organizations need lots of volunteers they cannot guarantee over a 100 hours for one individual. It is recommended that you look into many organizations that interest you to volunteer with.

Are there extensions on the time allotted to complete the pledge?

No. There are no extensions. By being proactive and setting a well thought out plan into action you will not need any extensions. The key is to plan ahead and take the initiative.

Can I be a repetitive Art Winner?

No. The fundamental aspect of our program is to get people involved that were perhaps not volunteering  prior to attending the Timeraiser. In order to make sure our impact is as big as possible, we need to reach out to as many individuals as possible.

What is the process when I've completed my pledge?
When you've completed your pledge, Framework Foundations will verify your hours with the respective associations and send you a communication congratulating your accomplishments. Hopefully once your pledge is completed you will continue to make an impact and carry on with your volunteering, participating and donating!
